Hear These Middle Schoolers Recite Coach Wooden's Definition of SuccessCoach John Wooden’s legacy is alive at Horace Mann School as they recite the coach’s definition of success.

Horace Mann School, along with all the K-12 schools in Beverly Hills Unified School District and 55 other schools throughout California, are taking part in a program by Harper for Kids, a youth character development program based upon legendary UCLA Coach John Wooden’s “Pyramid of Success.” The mission of Harper for Kids is to teach youth essential character traits that can help them achieve their personal best in life.

Harper for Kids helps K-12 schools incorporate the “Pyramid of Success” into their character education to cultivate, inspire and nurture healthy character development that will help their students be successful in all areas of their lives. Harper for Kids nonprofit organization was founded by Tim and Peanut Harper in 2008.

To help teach the younger children about the “Pyramid of Success,” Harper for Kids uses Coach Wooden’s children’s book, “Inch and Miles: The Journey to Success” (Perfection Learning), which Peanut collaborated on with Coach Wooden and co-author Steve Jamison.
